News update Autumn 2008
Summer has been and gone and what appalling weather! We did one festival in July which was a tribute band affair – Marvellous in the Park. Feast of Fiddles was one of only two original bands in the line up of 15 and it was always going to be interesting to see how a non-folky audience would take to us. Happily, they loved it and thanks very much to the organisers for taking the chance.
We’re very sorry our short tour to the west country in November is not going to materialise. A combination of availability and getting the right gigs to cover the costs involved compounded against us I’m afraid. However, the idea will be pursued in 2009 and with a bit of luck we’ll make a short trip in November an annual event. This will allow us to get to those places that we miss during the main tour. Maybe Wales one year, East Anglia another and the West Country another – you get the idea.
On the other hand, our spring tour in 2009 is all set bar the shouting. The up to date listing is shown below. We’ll add box office details soon. For the first time we venture into Northumberland and even more exciting into Scotland. Please come and see us and bring your friends along – they won’t be disappointed!
